The calculator and every figure on this site are estimates for planning. They are not tax, legal, accounting or payroll advice. Your actual withholding depends on your employer's payroll system, the forms you filed, and rules we may not model, such as local taxes, special deductions or mid-year changes. What you owe for the year is settled by your tax return. Before you make a decision that matters, check it with your employer, a tax professional or the agency that sets the rule.

Accuracy

Tax rates, brackets and limits come from public IRS, Social Security Administration and state revenue department publications. We try to keep them current, but tax law changes, agencies revise their tables, and mistakes happen. We don't promise that any figure is complete, correct or up to date. If you find an error, email us and we will look at it.
